At Shir Kadosh, we want our community to know that support is here when it’s needed most. Our caring community, Lev Echad (One Heart), is here to extend comfort, assistance, and compassion to our members in times of need.
Lev Echad means “One Heart” and is Shir Kadosh’s and Kehillah Chen V’Chesed’s combined Caring Community. Our mission is to bring comfort and hope to all those in need; dealing with a health crisis, being a caregiver, in grief, or suffering any kind of loss or trauma. You are not alone, we are of “one heart” and are here for you.

Lev Echad: Packs with Purpose
Nine years ago, Linda Fingleson and her twin sister Lisa saw a clear need: too many children were starting school without supplies required to learn. In this economy, many families simply cannot cover even the basics. What began as a heartfelt effort to help kids in need has grown into an annual tradition. This year, with the support of our Shir Kadosh community, we will help provide 300 backpacks filled with school supplies for local students in our community who need them most.

Our goal is to donate fully-loaded backpacks with pencils, erasers, rulers, glue sticks, staples, scissors, pens, notebooks, and more to the students at Van Nuys Elementary. To donate, please scan the QR code to our Zelle (Shir Kadosh) or donate via our website. We request all donations by August 1st.
