Spend an evening under the stars with Shir Kadosh as we gather for Havdalah on Saturday, May 9th at 7PM to mark the transition from Shabbat into the new week together. We'll take in the fresh air, sing some songs, and experience a beautiful moment of connection and gratitude beneath the night sky!

About The Event
Galileo Galilei was one of the most consequential scientists in history. Using his telescope, he discovered Jupiter's moons and the phases of Venus, concluding that the Earth revolves around the sun. This put him at odds with the Roman Catholic Church, and he was ultimately tried and confined to his home.
At this havdallah gathering, we'll observe those same moons as points of light near Jupiter's bright disc, and possibly Venus as well. And we'll reflect on what this means for us as Jews:
We don't rely on dogma; we question and wrestle with Torah to arrive at truth. We were given the power of reason for a reason. And the heavens remind us that we are a small part of a vast creation. We need only look up to see that we are not the center of it all.
